Skinnyman To Play Studio 24, Edinburgh (Wednesday, 20th January 2010)
|
Skinnyman and the Mud Family are to play at Studio 24, Edinburgh with Northern Exposure on the 26th of March.
Born Alex Holland in Leeds, Skinnyman is one of the few British emcees that needs almost no introduction. Moving as a kid to Finsbury Park, North London, Skinny found a melting pot of cultures suddenly on his doorstep and immersed himself in the musical culture of reggae and dancehall.
After working with the likes of RZA and DJ Vadim, Skinnyman released his debut album Council Estate of Mind through Low Life Records in 2004 and received critical success from the press. He went on to work with the likes of KRS One, Wiley, Sway and Akala and famously beat Eminem in a rap battle in London at Subterranea.
Northern Exposure, who are hosting the night, will also be performing live.
Tickets cost £6/£8.
